It was recess time and the room was filled
with different noises, people chatting and students playing volleyball.
Overall, the room was filled with variations of sounds and noises. Cedric and I
started talking about our grades and stuff.
“Hey
Cedric, how did you do on the quiz we had in Physics about electrical charges?”
I asked him.
“I did
fine, not good but not bad either, how about you?” he responded.
“Me?
Well I got a perfect score”, I said with pride.
“Good
for you. I really feel ashamed that I had a mistake in the multiplication at
number two. I should’ve had a perfect score”, he uttered with his mouth full of
regret.
“Really,
Cedric, you must be very careful next time. Remember, your grades depend on
it”, I advised him.
“How
about you? Aren’t you careless sometimes?” he questioned him.
“I’m
never careless. I’m always careful”, I said boastfully.
“Oh
really? Prove it. If you ever have a mistake this day, you will kiss Ericka Niñon
on the cheek”, he said with confidence.
“You’re
on. But if I have all perfect outputs this day, you will treat me a root beer”,
I agreed.
“Game!”,
he exclaimed.
Jeo, one of our friends, interrupted the
conversation.
“Hey,
what are you two talking about?” Jeo asked.
“We’re
just talking about the quiz we had in Physics earlier,” I replied.
“What
about that?” Jeo answered.
“Well,
Igi is just teasing me about my score on that quiz,” Cedric answered.
“Oh, I
got a high score there as well, haha!” Jeo boasted.
(Jeo
and I gave a high-five to each other)
“You
always mock me. Good thing that both of you are my close friends,” Cedric
exclaimed.
“Haha! It
is okay Cedric. You know that we’re just joking you. You know that you’re
intelligent,” Jeo insisted.
“Okay, I’m
hungry. Let’s have our recess already,” Cedric said.
“That’s
a good idea.” I said.
