My Ideal Family, My Family

"The voice of parents is the voice of gods, for to their children they are heaven's lieutenants." ~William Shakespeare ~

Family is any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts and cousins. But for me, a family is the one who loves and take good care of you. They are the ones who will guide you to the right path to take whenever you are taking the wrong direction. Family is the one that makes us feel safe and warm, they make us feel, we are not alone in this world. That we have them by our side in times of trouble and whenever we feel that the whole world is against us.

We, us children, should not break their hearts and show them how we love them as well. We should help them even in simple ways like, washing the dishes, sweeping the floor, and the alike. Even in such ways, we lessen their work, and with that, they can feel that we care for them. As children, we should obey and listen to our parents. Even if sometimes we think that we can decide on our own and be independent, still, we will need their advices and tips.

An ideal family for me is the family that I have now. My family loves and cares for each other. We always have time for bonding and time for work or studies. We don’t keep secrets from each other, especially us, the children. Whenever, we have a task, we all cooperate and help each other. We balance our time well and we do all our roles in the house.

We must enjoy every minute of our life with our family, because no can ever surpass the love and tender they are giving us. When our parents got old, we should still love them the way they loved us when we were still a child. When they can’t handle themselves anymore, we should be by their side, just like when they take good care of us when we were still a toddler. We should be very thankful to God that He had given us a family who sacrificed and gave everything for us. We should always put in our mind, that if not because of them, we are not here in the world, and we will not be on what we are today---we are very lucky we have a family.

Father's Love

"My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me."

My papa, Efren V. Santos, is one of the most responsible and loving father you will ever meet. Papa was born on September 20, 1970, the 8th child among the 10 children of Alfredo and Joste Santos. He grew up in a poor family, but this not became a hindrance for him to be a successful engineer. Their lack of money made him and his brothers and sisters to study harder to bring a better life for their family. Luckily, all of them finished college and achieved their own goals and dreams.

Now that father's day is approaching, me and my sister as well as my mama, has lot of plans for this occasion. We are intending to cook "adobong pusit" for him, as a treat for him for being a great father. My mama have decided to buy him a new polo-shirt for him as out gift. Of course, we will not forget to hug and kiss him and at the same time, greet him happy father's day. I will remind him that we are always here to love and be the best children for him, and that, we will not let him down on his expectations on us.

Papa, I just want you to know that you became my source of motivation and encouragement in my 15 years of existence in the world. Thank you for being a good example for us. Happy father's day papa. I love you and respect you more than you will ever know. I wish that you will have longer and healthier life.

" It is a wise father that knows his own child."

A New Chapter of My Life

As I enter a  new stage in life, third year high school life, I was thinking that it would be challenging and exciting. I was expecting for more complicated and harder sets of topics. Wanting to be a junior, is my dream. It is because, I have heard that it is the best part in a high school student. Due to the junior senior promenade and other electrifying activities.

Many juniors last year have said that a lot of teachers are to be admired. But just like other teachers, most of them dislike quarreling. So I better behave and be active in participation during classes. I'm expecting myself to be more mature in making decisions, my point of view in life and to be more interested in reading than playing.

Now that I'm in the junior life already, I will see if the rumors I heard were true and not just a lie. I am looking forward that all the positive and stimulating things they said were all correct. With only a few days, I'm sure that I will be feeling the great pressure. I hope that any problem I face, any obstacle I encounter, will make me a better and stronger person.
