The world is now experiencing a very
tough problem, which is the ecological crisis. Literally, it means that when
the environment of a species or
a population changes
in a way that destabilizes its continued survival. There are many possible
causes of such crises. It may be that the environment quality degrades compared
to the species' needs, after a change of abiotic ecological factor (for example, an increase of temperature, less
significant rainfalls). It may also be that the environment becomes unfavorable
for the survival of a species (or a population) due to an increased pressure of predation.
Lastly, it may be that the situation becomes unfavorable to the quality of life
of the species (or the population) due to raise in the number of individuals (overpopulation).
We are to be blame for what is happening
to our mother earth now. We are the ones who overused the benefits we can get
from the environment. We became so greedy to have good materials, and because
of that, we are forgetting, that these things came from the environment which
takes hundreds of years to be formed. Due to our intelligence and supreme
knowledge about technology, we have invented a lot of things that can make our
lives better. It may have a very good effect on us, but we put aside the bad
effects that it can cause to our environment, and now, we are suffering from
it. Over the years, this has become a big problem to us. But still, we are not
doing anything unless it is too late; no action is made by the people. On the
other hand, we can still call our world wonderful, since there are a lot of
improvements, discoveries, breakthroughs, and inventions that is very helpful
to us. True, it is a wonderful world if there are trees, plants, animals, fresh
air, and the alike, but we are now in a different, era, the era of man, where
technology is dominating. We make things, so we won’t be dependent too much in
the environment. Maybe, in the next 20 years or so, there will be no more fresh
water and air, but due to our intelligence, we will be surviving and we’ll
live. We can’t stop the reign of technology, but we can make solutions to solve
our environmental problem.
I think that, we still have a chance in
saving our mother earth. We can still bring the past back. The time where,
there are green trees, blue skies, good weather, fresh air, and everyone is not
problematic about the condition of the earth. We still have time to correct the
wrong things we have done. We still have hope, so it is time for us to act now.
The government’s projects about the environment must be followed and applied by
the people. We should help each other, to support them in saving our home
planet. So we can have and live in the WONDERFUL WORLD we are dreaming.
When Friar Lawrence gave the vial to
Juliet, he did not notice that he had a mistake in making the formula, and it
made Juliet to have a diarrhea and a body odor. The night Juliet took the vial;
she felt something wrong with her tummy that it aches so much and her underarm
won’t stop sweating. She had a diarrhea and Juliet can’t stop pooping. Because
of this, she called the nurse and asked to find an antidote for this. Due to
this happening, Paris was turned off to Juliet and cancelled their wedding.
When Juliet heard the news about it, she was happy and at the same time sad
because of her diarrhea and her body odor. Juliet’s excreta really stinks that
even her parents don’t want to go near her. She was not permitted to go out of
her room until she has recovered from her illness. But the Capulet did not want
to ruin their reputation; they just spread the news that Juliet was dead;
because a lot of people are looking for Juliet and wants to know why Paris
cancelled the wedding.
On the other hand, Friar Lawrence, not
knowing that he gave a wrong vial; he sent a letter to Romeo that holds all the
things he should know. But, unluckily, Romeo did not receive it and Romeo had
the news that Juliet was dead and hurriedly went to the poor pharmacist who
sells poisons. While Romeo was having his way to the pharmacist, the nurse was
already there and she brought the pharmacist with her way back to Verona. When
Romeo and Balthazar went there, no one is inside the house and they decided to
go to Verona and look at the body of Juliet.
The nurse brought the pharmacist to
Juliet and he made an antidote for Juliet. When Romeo was going to Verona, the
spirit of her mother whispered to her ear and said that Juliet is not yet dead,
and they can still make it. Romeo, believing to what he heard, went to Juliet
and he saw her and smelt the foul odor. But the bad smell of Juliet did not
stop Romeo in hugging and kissing her. Juliet was very happy for that Romeo
went back to her and did not mind about her illness. Then, Juliet tried the
antidote made by the pharmacist and then her illness was cured. Due to great
happiness, she kissed Romeo and hugged him so tight that her sickness was
transferred to Romeo but worse than Juliet had. Because of this, Romeo and
Juliet decided to go away and start a new life.
For me the ending of the play Romeo and Juliet was
just like what I am expecting; that there will be killings, sacrifices, drama
and death of the main characters. This is why it was called a tragedy. It deals
withaseriousorsombertheme,typicallythatofagreatpersondestinedthroughaflawofcharacterorconflictwithsomeoverpowering force, asfateorsociety,todownfallordestruction. Like just in the play, the mother of Romeo (Lady
Montague) died in grief after Romeo was exiled from Verona, Mercutio who was killed
by Tybalt then Tybalt and Paris was killed by Romeo and the death of Romeo and
Juliet; the play was very bloody and so dramatic, that a lot of killings and
deaths occurred. The play was full of regrets and many more.
The ending in Romeo and Juliet is truly a tragedy where
it ended up to the death of the two lovers. To have a different ending, I believe
that modifying the part that Romeo drunk the poison without anymore thinking
what might happen after it. If only Romeo think twice before he acted then,
Juliet and Friar Lawrence will succeed in their plan. But due to the love and
desperation of Romeo to be with his wife in the afterlife, he mindlessly drunk
the poison he bought from the poor pharmacist; which led to his fast death, not
knowing that Juliet is still alive.
The plan of Friar
Lawrence and Juliet was almost perfect; it was just ruined, when Friar John did
not make it to give the letter of Friar Lawrence to Romeo. This happening
destroyed everything, because the letter of Friar Lawrence contains all the
things Romeo must know about the plan of Juliet. Since it was not given, and
Romeo knew that Juliet was dead, in a sudden, he went to her graveyard bringing
the things that he needs. Then the awful happenings started from there. It will
also be less miserable if Juliet listened to the offer of Friar Lawrence to
her, that she will be staying with the nuns. But instead of listening to the Friar,
she took the sword and killed herself. If only, Friar John have given the
letter to Romeo and if Romeo did got the wrong news, then the two lovers will
still make it and live happily.
If I will change the ending, I will make it a happy
ending; an ending where Romeo and Juliet and their family will live happily
ever after. Where Romeo will not be banished anymore and will be clemency by
the Prince. Then, Juliet and Romeo will live and have children and because of
their love, their families will no more fight and forgive each other. Then Verona
will be full of happiness and love. That’s the ending I wanted for the play
Romeo and Juliet—which I think a lot of people wants to.
