During my elementary days, when I
transferred to a public school from a private one, the teacher that most
inspired my life was Mrs. Eloisa Esguerra. She was my teacher on my third
grade, kind, gentle and most of all she has a heart of gold.
On my first day of school, I really
felt lonely, since I’m new, I don’t have any friends yet. But then our adviser
Ma’am Eloi approached me. From that
moment, when she was talking to me, I thought she was my mother. She gave me
some good advices to cope up with new friends and the surroundings. She also
inspired me to do my best in every thing that I do and when ever she talks or
discuss, I always listen to her. For me, the way how she taught us was the
best. Since we are in the public school, some of us don’t have money to buy
some snacks, but then she will give some of her money from her own pocket to
him/her without any hesitations. Even she was facing a tough problem; she will
still smile while looking for the best solution. The thing that most inspired me was when she
chose me to be a contestant in Science Quiz Bee. I was not really expecting for
it, but she said that she trusts me. When she said that, it was like my world
became so perfect. From that day onwards, we became close since we were
reviewing almost everyday, except Sundays. I really love the way how she taught
me, the skills she used and her patience to me. She really did not lose hope in
me even though I was having a hard time memorizing all the topics she teaches.
If I can’t understand it through reading, she will let me see a video, have an
experiment and learn it through actual ways. She was not like the other
teachers I met, she was different, I can’t tell what it is, but there was
something very unique about her that really inspired me.
From all of the teachers I had, she
was the one who most inspired me, not only mentally but also spiritually. She
taught me a lot of things that became useful to me in the real world, where you
cannot achieve anything without hardworking. Every teacher is a hero to her
students, even though sometimes they can’t see it or feel it, it is just that
we are sometimes having hard times to show how important and how we love our
teachers but deep inside of our hearts, teachers you are our hero.
